MEET YOORIE
Yoorie is a passionate advocate for creative art education and a proud mom to a spirited 7-year-old who’s always dreaming up new creations. With over 15 years of teaching experience in both private and charter schools, she brings a wealth of knowledge and heart to every class. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Texas and a Master of Fine Arts in Art Education, and is credentialed in K–12 Art Education in the state of California. Her career has been devoted to guiding young artists and nurturing their love for creativity.

Inspired by the joy and growth she witnessed in her students, Yoorie founded Piece with a clear vision: to ignite imagination, build confidence, and foster problem-solving skills through meaningful artistic exploration. She gently teaches foundational art skills across a variety of media, empowering students to experiment boldly and express their unique ideas. Her open-ended projects and supportive approach help children discover their artistic voices and take pride in their creative choices.

Yoorie’s mission is to cultivate a warm, inclusive community where every child feels seen, capable, and excited to create. She believes that the creativity children develop today becomes the spark that fuels tomorrow’s innovators and leaders.
